Today was a milestone for Northwest Illinois CEO—our very first business visit!

A huge thank you to Absolute Fitness in Freeport and owners Kara and Saul Jimenez for welcoming our students and sharing their story.

One of the biggest takeaways from today was that their business is about much more than building muscles—it’s about building relationships. Kara and Saul shared how taking care of people, earning trust, and creating meaningful connections are at the heart of what they do.

They also left our students with an important lesson about commitment and follow-through: If you say you’re going to do something, do it.

That’s a simple message, but a powerful one in business and in life.

Our first business visit gave students a chance to see firsthand that successful businesses aren’t built on a product or service alone. They’re built on people, relationships, trust, and commitment.

Thank you, Kara and Saul, for helping set the bar for our first CEO business visit!
